Social Media Manager (Contract to Hire - Hybrid position) 

Hija De Tu Madre is a Latina Lifestyle brand. We design apparel, accessories and stationery that celebrate the beauty of being Latinx. Hija De Tu Madre is for the girl that takes her culture everywhere.

Hija De Tu Madre was founded by Patty Delgado in 2016. The daughter of two Mexican immigrants, Delgado has always had a hunger for culture, community and representation. So at age 25, with only $500 and a mission to make fashion more inclusive of the modern Latina experience, Delgado launched Hija De Tu Madre. 

The Forbes 30 under 30 designer, is committed to incorporating her multicultural identity in every product she creates. Today, the self-funded company has sold to over 30 countries, and continues to prove to the world that Latinx is the new mainstream.

What we're looking for: 
  • Superstar social media strategist with a data-driven & high growth oriented mind & a creative eye.
  • Someone with a PASSION for Latinx representation and creative storytelling through content and social media. You fully understand the nuances and psychographics of Latinx youth culture. 
  • Experience growing social media audiences for consumer brands. 
  • A witty creative thinker & writer.
  • You want to go viral. And know what makes people tick on social media. 
  • A Master iPhone photographer / videographer. 
  • Must be 100% bilingual in English & Spanish.
  • Independent, highly organized and ON TIME. 
  • Someone that thinks 2 steps ahead. 
  • A joy to work with. 
The Social Media Manager is responsible for: 

  • You will own all of our social media channels & communities. Specifically, TikTok, IG, Twitter, Facebook, groups, etc. 
  • Analyze our social media data from a business and community perspective, to understand what our audience responds to and why.
  • Share content ideas and recommendations with the founder, based on data and a deep understanding of HDTM. 
  • Identify social media content trends and cultural moments that HDTM could be a part of.
  • Build our social media calendar based on our marketing calendar and needs, and adjust as needed for new trend opportunities.  
  • Coordinate with creators for assets to align with marketing campaigns. 
  • Schedule and post all content. 
  • Organize all of our social media assets in a way that is accessible for the entire marketing team. 
  • Your job is to be besties with every single person that comments, DMs, tags, likes, shares, etc. 
  • Engage our community in a way that that satisfies our current audience but still inspires new follower growth. 
  • Identify creator, influencer & gifting opportunities.
Hourly rate: $22 an hour
Commitment: 25 - 30 hours/week for 3 months. With potential of full-time + benefits. 
Work hours: 9:30am - 4pm 
Start date: ASAP
Location: Los Angeles area. 
Hybrid: This is a hybrid position, most work will be conducted from home. However, Social Media Manager is required to attend all work events (including weekends), shoots, meetings, etc.
